@paul
WaPo mentions that while this increase is generally in line with overall inflation it doesn’t match up with increases in medical care (4%) or electricity (5%) or piped gas (11.7%), which are particularly of concern to social security recipients. My Medicare and supplemental premiums are increasing by about 50%.

@qurlyjoe I was reading about the significant increases.

Medicare Part B is getting a historical increase, yet to be announced by Dr Oz. He is teasing it now in the press that it is coming.

Our electric rates increased over 33%. I posted about the record rate increases for Ohio and 12 other states before. A fedi search for "PJM Interconnection" should bring my posts up about them. https://oldfriends.live/@paul/115042193238047887

@paul
I saw your post about that. I know ours have been going up but I haven’t checked to see by how much. I’ve got 12 year’s worth of data in quicken so it’s just a question of figuring out how to build a report.

@paul
With the average increase totaling $56, I’ll be able to buy 22 tomatoes. Yay!
