Apple is testing a "tinted glass" option for iOS 26.1 that reduces the transparency effect of its Liquid Glass UI to be less of a 馃枙 to people with vision problems.
I currently am using the Accessibility > Reduce transparency option in iOS 26 and macOS 26. It makes text legible again to me, but also reveals many awkward design papercuts in border, margin, and padding of elements.
Maybe "tinted liquid glass" will be a usable half-way point.
