I'm honestly interested in seeing if #Trump can actually finish building his new #WhiteHouse ballroom. He's getting some donations now to start work, but if the economy goes south, it seems like that funding will quickly dry up.
I figure there is at least a 50% chance that the next president gets to live in an abandoned construction site for most of their term while we figure out how to fix this mess. Also not a bad physical metaphor.
@mikemccaffrey @evoterra I feel like the next president needs to set the CEOs of the donors companies down in a room, and have a frank little conversation with them that goes like this:
“You will donate the money to undo this pile of shit, or I will fuck you over so badly you’ll never sit again.”

Nope. First you find out if they did it for carrots or the fear of the stick. Then you make sure the next president doesn't get to have carrots or sticks to use.
