It seems the culprit is the newer Apple MagSafe charger. I called NiteIze and they told me they can send out more rings & that sometimes distance between phone charger & phone can help with the issue, which is probably why that one person’s issue was fixed with 2 rings. But to go thru tips they sent via email first.

“check to see your optimized battery charging settings sometimes those settings can stop the charging at 80% as to not let the phone be overcharged.”

“The team also told me to double check that the MagSafe charger you have is Apples brand "NOT a close model to the Apple branded ones". The charging cord could also make a difference, the smooth cord is preferred, the braided version has higher wattage and doesn’t work as well as the Apple charger.”

“They also did some testing and when the phone case isn't an apple or otter box Mag-Safe case, the positioning can make a big difference too. So, if nothing from above helps fix the issue, play around with the positioning a little bit to make sure it is centered correctly.

It can also help if while on the charger you unplug the charger and plug it back”
