The @fedipourgaza team is really worried about Gaza Verified Families accounts being suspended or banned by administrators. The reason is mainly because the accounts are tagging many people or send numerous DMS.
When this happens, the staff members of #GazaVerified or #Fedipourgaza contact the administrator, explains the situation, and have them lift the suspension. At the same time, we try to advise the person concerned to avoid being banned again.
Creating a new account would not be helpful as you might lose tracks of your previous supporters, being marked by administrators and banned again, creating a vicious cycle, and losing overall trust.
The reason tagging multiple people is inappropriate is not because it is a "nuisance that violates the rules". It is because it can ultimately brings harm to the people of Gaza as this could create a feeling of harassment on the part of all Palestinians in the Fediverse and reduce financial aid for everyone.
We would like Gaza Verified families to know that we totally understand that you need to reach out more people. And we are here to support you in such a way.
So, please, in order to keep your account, we suggest you to :
- avoid tagging many people
- avoid sending a large number of DMs
