I wondered lately about #SelfHosting of something , such as blog for long-reads and something like single-person ActivityPub-something for shorter notes like this one.
For the level of immersion into Fediverse I need is something like Bonfire or even Mastodon, but with option to write longreads with interface like Ghost.
I guess the #Ghost approach to #Fediverse is intentional towards specific use case. it is not some holes in features, it is a newsletter-centric, not "Mastodon with long-reads
