I’m testing so many and since I cancelled all my subscriptions I’ve been supporting them all too with one time payments.

The world of home media server apps is expanding and updating so quickly.
I’m testing so many and since I cancelled all my subscriptions I’ve been supporting them all too with one time payments.
I’ll list some of my favourites in a thread below 👇
My go to music app is @manetmusic. I was an Apple Music user for the past couple years and only recently went all in on self-hosted. Of all the music apps I’m testing, it’s my favourite in terms of UX.
Also don’t let the images on the website fool you. It’s fully Liquid Glass.
@manetmusic Runner-up for my favourite music app is @discrete which is just a beautiful music app with full Liquid Glass aesthetic.
I especially love the design and animations of the floating navigation bar. Top notch attention to detail.
I prefer the home and now playing screens on Manet, but that’s personal. Discrete is awesome.
@manetmusic @discrete And one more music app before I switch gears: @violexene’s Jellify. This is a cross-platform app, free and open source, with super fast development, and a super fast UX.
It’s a joy to use and while I’m one of those crazy people who adores Liquid Glass, if you don’t (or you’re on Android) it would be my number one recommendation for you. In fact I’ve already shared it with several friends.
This is a forward thinking server running the Bonfire social media platform.
LGBTQA+ and BPOC friendly.
