What do you think causes non-tech people to choose walled, algorithmic gardens ran by right wing extremists over their own open, public websites?
What can change this? #indieweb
I'm thinking:
1. better and easier to deploy authoring tools
2. campaigning news websites / music venues to make an effort to find links to open sources before they link to walled gardens
3. campaigning record labels / artists to post outside walled gardens
4. campaigning search engines and chatbots to prefer links to outside walled gardens
