@juliewebgirl I've never done the #TikTok thing but I've seen the craze, read the articles, heard the jokes, seen videos of things of all subjects people post of TikToks on other platforms... How are the diehard TikTok users going to handle the new overlord's manipulations? Will there be a revolt? An opening for another service to come in? I think the TikTok people are a different type of social media breed, so when the #Enshittification happens, I must admit I am curious how it will play out...

A year or so ago when... I don't remember what exactly it was... TikTok shut down to the US for a bit? Users went a different Chinese platform. Many users were talking about doing the same once Jan 22 shows up.
I know that this morning within the hour, Aaron Parnas said he was unable to upload the video of the shooting. His Insta and Substack were fine. And I did see the video posted by abc News on TT and now there's tons of them...
@juliewebgirl I think it might boil down to money vs ideology... They might, probably, will manipulate it so the non-political posters go unscathed and everyone is manipulated to death
It's all in the algorithm. Which changed overnight.
TikTok is like any other platform. People post on there and they also have accounts on Instagram, and others. They have a marketplace that oddly enough is more trustworthy than Amazon at this point 🤷♀️
Current happening news though, you gotta be tapped into all of them IMO. I've never posted on TT just lurk and share with a couple other people. Just like I still have a Twitter account & lurk. Good news source of you know who to follow and what to look for
