Calling all writers out there!

For blogging: WordPress or Substack? Or something else?

I'm not going to make anyone pay. I just need it to be simple to lay out text and a few pictures. I would rather not have the blog host in the name of my blog (like what seems to be mandatory at substack?)

I purchased the marcus.social web domain.

Either I will use it for hosting a #Mastodon instance for myself, or turn it into a #WordPress site that I develop to behave like my own #Twitter-like profile, and install #ActivityPub to enable it in the #Fediverse.

Whichever route I take, I will make Marcus.Social my main online profile for social media.

Si vous utilisez le plugin #WordPress #ActivityPub, vous avez dû remarquer que comme la photo de profil des comptes passent par gravatar, il n’y a rien pour déclencher sa mise à jour coté fédération, et on se retrouve avec un avatar gravé dans le marbre pour les personnes qui nous follow…

Pour résoudre ce problème, l’extension [Simple Local Avatars](Simple Local Avatars) (qui fait ce que son nom décrit) marche !
